That was a very nice debate. Taji Mustafa, oh yes, he gave it to them. Even thought I don’t support Hizb Tahrir, I believe his debating skills are highly valuable in media and communications.
November 8, 2006 at 1:48 am
Thanks Taji. you have made us (the civilised world)proud. We don’t need to advocate offense since it will happen anyway, we might as well make it clear that it will not be tolerated, atleast vocal-in-your-face offense. Its also crazy to see how things a few years ago were all smooth sailing, then all of a sudden everyone is suspicious. Feels like hollywood’s communist trial era…is anyone accused of being a communist nowadays?? I applaud your debate skills and believe you are a valuable asset to the Muslim world and Civilised world in general.
November 8, 2006 at 3:24 am
objectivley, in a way they have the right to voice their opinions, if they are offensive and insulting. however we have the right to react and contrast our opinion. what it all biols down to is that any stament put out in the world through the media should be held responsible by the person who says it and should eccept what they recieve from the pubilc in return.
November 8, 2006 at 3:29 am

Islam will prevail.
November 13, 2006 at 6:36 am
I believe that Islam is a brilliant philosophy of fantastic life. Unfortunately the politician-led media is cheating us by focusing their coverage on the black wrapping of the best charismas gift. For instance read about “Mercy in Islam” or “Parents Rights in Islam” you will be surprised how we live the past years with a wrong impression about Islam.

November 15, 2006 at 12:48 am
To SoSO:
Although all of us support, and admire Taj’s skills, but we should not use foul language against our opponents. Kindly refrain from using such a language, I do not think Taj would be so pleased. Regards
November 15, 2006 at 2:44 am
it is a common sense …
if you have dignity you fight for it and if not what is the difference it is going to make. so the main issue here is dignity and pride. which a lot won’t understand because in this world a lot of words have lost its meaning. or misunderstood.

November 18, 2006 at 11:41 pm
It’s so obvious to any Hume being who have a brain and use it, to actually know and understand that the words of the bob were clearly offensive and aggressive to any Muslim or a Christian who believe in democracy and the human rights of bereaving in whatever he wants.
Thank you

The debate was very good. I agree that freedom of speech is a right to be exercised by all, however, with regards to the pope’s speech, I truly believe that someone in his position should choose who he quotes alittle more wisely.
We want peace amongst all religions, but when the leader of the Christian world is quoting a 14th century emperor calling the Muslim religion as one that incites violence and was born of violence, then his speech writers need to think about the impact these words will have on the world.
Pope Benedict should have taken more lessons from his predecessor, Pope John Paul in his quest for world peace and love of all.

Why has no one condemned those imams and clerics who not only insult but incite violence against Christians, or Jews, or Europeans, or Americans, etc. Did not Ahmadinejad, one prominent leader quoting another historical figure, say: “As the Imam said, Israel must be wiped off the map…”? I am no friend of Israel’s towards Palestine, but I do not advocate anyone be “…wiped off the map…”
So where is the anger towards these comments? Or is it that only negative comments towards Islam or Muslims are inappropriate?
(Though some may respond that Ahmadinejad’s comments are also unacceptable, in truth, how many Islamic interest blogs are condemning them with the same fervor reserved for the Pope?)
December 26, 2006 at 2:08 am
Dear “Liberal Guy”,
The pope is the highest religious authority in the western world. It is very irresponsible of him to make such comments. We have never witnessed the Shiekh of Azhar, the biggest religious authority in the muslim world, make such agressive comments against another religion. As for Ahmadinejad’s comments, I guess you have heard about the late UN resolution to put sanctions on Iran. All the talk about nuclear weapons is bull shit, like the Iraqi Weapons of Mass Destruction. This was all because of his comments about “wiping Israel off the map” (which by the way did not exist on the map before 1948 when they raped the lands of Palestinians and created a state on it). Now, can you put sanctions on the pope Mr. Liberal?!

January 14, 2007 at 4:42 pm
Very well done explanations..Mr Taji
March 23, 2007 at 5:36 pm
i like ur debate very much u gave it to them but dnt they know that they are wong and we are right they have planned for everything they wanted our generals to be scared from them and support them against other muslims just for the sake of money can u imagine that each arabic leader is setting on his chair just to live his life and then die to left us to these denmark and USA countries as u can see Iran is will face the United Nations (i mean Bush nations) punishment just to because they are producing uranium and they didn’t even harm anyone and on the other side bush is killing thousands of people every day in Iraq and Russia is killing millions of people in Bosna and herzakh what is the this! they dnt hate Islam they know Islam is the truth but they want us to focus on their dumb drawings of denmark and lieve these muslims that are dieing every day!

i ask god to bless you and protect you and all muslims. what a great effort MR. Taji Mustafa. May god take your life away malek !!
June 12, 2007 at 2:53 am
Any HUMAN with dignity would never like to be insulted. Freedom of speech to a dignified man does’nt mean to be equipped with freedom to insult others. If someone like Mr. Malek says he enjoys others to insult him than such people have for sure, have either lost or sold their dignity.
I appreciate the way Brother Taji expressed our sentiments – May Allah help us all and give Hidayth to the entire Humanity – Ameen!
October 12, 2007 at 2:57 pm
Well as i can see that Christians and jews religious faith have been insulated and been joked around quite often in the shows like south park and stuff so they think that its ok to insult muslim’s faith but as a matter of fact its WRONG!!! The first teaching a Muslim gets from his mother is to respect the faith and if someone insults your faith so raise the voice against them and thank god we are pretty good at it!!! I am proud of you and Taji and all my Christians and Jews brothers please raise voice against those who are insulting your faith (unlike that malik guy who things its okey to be insulted what an a hole)
October 24, 2007 at 1:36 pm
thank you it was intresting to hear all that
thank you
October 27, 2007 at 12:49 pm
Not only you defended the dignity of Muslims, but also reminded the rights of our Beloved Prophet.(SAW)
May Allah shower his blessing to Taji Mustafa and his family.

Remarkable!
I think we need more of Taji’s kind in our muslim population. Poeple who can see things rationally and direct a response with intelligence. Remember those times when our parents used to tell us to be polite and respectful to others. We seem to have forgotten this. Mr. Malik seems to have forgotten how to be polite and respectful of others.
July 8, 2008 at 4:57 am
Excellent reply, Allah bless you Taji Mustafa. Replies are very well balanced & to the point. World must understand that what ever religious belief we belong to, we must learn to respect others. Specially when it comes to the most respectable personalities like Prophet Muhammad (SAWW). Taji you made a great point. Keep it up & do not forget to prepare your team of people to speak in the way you speak & convince.
